Terms of Service

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Welcome to Lived Labs. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of livedlabs.co, the Lived Labs Studio, the Lived Labs community, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by JOM Holdings LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as Lived Labs ("Lived Labs," "we," "us," "our").

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide to us is accurate.

2. Free use today, paid use tomorrow

The Services are currently offered without charge during our development period.

We may introduce paid subscriptions, codes, cohort-based access, or other commercial offerings in the future. When we do, we will communicate the terms — including pricing, billing cycles, refund policies, and cancellation procedures — to you before you become a paying user. Continued use of the Services after the introduction of new commercial terms constitutes acceptance of those terms.

3. Beta and cohort participation

Some features of the Services may be made available on an experimental, beta, or cohort basis. These features may change frequently, may not work perfectly, and may be discontinued or modified at any time. By participating, you understand that you are an early user helping us build something better — and that imperfection is part of the experience.

4. Your account and your responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding any account credentials you create with us, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You will not:

  • Violate any law or the rights of others
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Spam, phish, or send unsolicited commercial messages
  • Upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Services
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy substantial portions of the Services without our written permission
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
  • Use the Services to develop a competing product

5. Your inventions are yours

This is important to us, and we want to be clear: you own the inventions, ideas, prototypes, drafts, sketches, and other intellectual property that you create using the Services.

Lived Labs does not claim any ownership interest in your work product. We will not file patents on your inventions, claim equity in companies you build, or assert rights over the ideas you bring to the Studio. Your inventions belong to you.

By using the Services, you grant Lived Labs a limited license to host, display, and process your content as needed to provide the Services to you (for example, storing your invention proposal in the Studio so you can keep working on it). This license ends when you delete your content or close your account, except as needed for backups, legal compliance, or aggregated and anonymized analysis.

6. Our content and platform

The Services themselves — including our frameworks, written guidance, software, designs, branding, and overall platform — are owned by Lived Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or build derivative products from our content without our written permission.

7. Anonymized and aggregated data

We may use anonymized and aggregated data about how the Services are used to improve our products, conduct research, and share insights publicly. We may also share success stories, testimonials, or case studies — but only with your prior permission when those stories identify you or your work.

8. AI tools and third-party services

The Studio incorporates and recommends AI tools and third-party services. These tools have their own terms and privacy policies, and your use of them is governed by those terms. Lived Labs is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or behavior of third-party tools, but we work to recommend tools that meet a high standard.

9. We are not a law firm or financial advisor

Lived Labs provides educational content, frameworks, AI tools, and community — not legal, financial, or professional advice. We are not a law firm, patent attorney, accountant, or licensed advisor. Any guidance we provide about IP, patents, business formation, fundraising, or commercialization is for educational purposes only.

You are responsible for your own legal filings, business decisions, financial choices, and outcomes. We strongly recommend consulting qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation, particularly before filing patents, signing contracts, raising capital, or making other significant decisions.

10. The Services are provided "as is"

We work hard to make the Services useful, but we provide them on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that they will produce any specific outcome (such as a successful invention, a granted patent, or a profitable business).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lived Labs disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lived Labs (and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Services.

If your account is terminated, the provisions of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination will continue to apply — including ownership rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Changes to the Services and these Terms

We may modify the Services and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide reasonable notice through the Services or by email. Continued use of the Services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Lived Labs regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
